3 recipes with ginger that will help you loose weight naturally
Anyone, who is trying to shed those extra kilos, would much rather prefer to loose weight naturally, without some of the side effects of taking weight loss tablets. So, instead of resorting to weight loss medications why not try consuming more ginger? Science says ginger can help you loose weight naturally.
A study on 10 overweight men, who consumed 2 grams of ginger powder dissolved in hot water after breakfast, showed that the subjects had reduced feelings of hunger with ginger consumption, which suggests a potential role of ginger in weight management. Ginger acted in the body by curbing the appetite because of its compound gingerol, which has the ability to affect the thermic effect of food, which in obese and insulin- resistant patients people is reduced. Defective thermogenesis is what may contribute to weight gain, or impair weight loss.
Another study on induced obese rats, confirmed that ginger will help you loose weight naturally. In this research, scientists investigated the effects of gingerol on the changes in body weight, serum glucose, insulin, insulin resistance and lipid profile in plasma and liver. It was found that the obese rats fed 75 mg of gingerol daily for 30 days, showed significantly decreased glucose level, body weight, leptin, insulin, amylase, lipase plasma and tissue lipids when compared to normal control.
But ginger will not only help you loose weight naturally, it will also help with your overall health. This is because of its antioxidant activities, which warrants its use for many illnesses like cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia and it also regulates cholesterol levels.

Broccoli Stir Fry with Ginger and Sesame
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 cup chicken or vegetable stock (use vegetable stock for vegan option)
1 Tbsp soy sauce (use gluten-free soy sauce for gluten-free option)
1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
Peanut, canola, or grapeseed oil, or some other high smoke-point cooking oil
1 pound broccoli florets, rinsed, patted dry, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cloves of garlic, minced (about 1 Tbsp)
1 Tbsp minced fresh ginger
Toast the sesame seeds: Toast the sesame seeds by first heating a small, stick-free sauté pan on medium high heat. Add the sesame seeds and jiggle the pan so they spread out in a single layer.
Let them cook until lightly browned, stirring occasionally, about 2-3 minutes. Do not walk away from them while cooking, as once they start to brown they can easily burn. Once lightly toasted remove from heat and put into a small bowl.
