Researchers at the Imperial College London have trained a computer to recognize patients who could benefit from stroke treatment with clot busting drugs. In a small retrospective pilot study trained computer software that is similar airport technology predicted which patients given thrombolytic drugs suffered brain bleed that leads to more disability and can be fatal.
